The Role

As our next Family Services Practitioner, you will provide support to children and families referred by The Orange Door using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. You will provide case coordination, develop and review Child and Family Action Plans, work therapeutically with parents/carers and their children to create meaningful and sustainable change and co-facilitate group work programs. Your responsibilities will include analysing Best Interests domains, collaborating with other services and stakeholders, maintaining client information and recording databases, completing casework and case closures in a timely manner, and contributing to the delivery and improvement of high-quality services.

Your Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Proven ability to handle complex family situations and apply case management principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Team-oriented, innovative, motivated, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent.
